Soldering was always the messiest part of my projects, until I tried SolderStick. It's simple, it works, and it doesn't require a steady hand or a prayer. For someone who's into getting things done without the drama, this was a game-changer.

Alright, picture this: me, under a car, wrestling with wires and a soldering iron that's got two settings—'cold as ice' and 'molten lava.' Then I found SolderStick. My new best friend skips the hassle, burns, and bad words. Connections are a breeze now, and I don’t miss the old iron one bit.

I just finished rewiring my utility trailer with these. So easy and gratifying. I've always hated crimp type butt connectors, so I would always solder my connections and cover them with heat shrink, tedious and time consuming. These take the trouble out of all that.

I used a heat gun.

It was satisfying to see the solder melt as the ends crimped down to make a strong waterproof connection. Perfect for the new LED spotlights on my Jeep. Great product!!!

I have many years of experience in automotive and this is by far the easiest solder tool I've yet to use.Simply cut the wires, strip them of the plastic and joint them in the connector. I used a simple heat gun and with 30 seconds I was done.I measured the wire before the repair and got .3 ohms after the repair I measured again and got .2 ohmsI pulled on the wires with lots of pressure and they wouldn't let go. they work fantastic!

I had rats chew through some wiring on my car used these and they work fantastic! All you got to do is just strip the wire put the wire in and use a Bic lighter to heat up the whole thing evenly and then that's it you're done. Good product. Works like stated.

After about 5 seconds the rubber material started to shrink. At about 9 seconds the solder started to melt and bond the wires. I gave the wires a firm tug and there were super tight. Going forward this is my choice for connecting wires vs the tradition soldering iron. After about 5 seconds the rubber material started to shrink. At about 9 seconds the solder started to melt and... Fast and easy to use.

I really like these - use them for outdoor applications and also on my boat. I have found that if there are any wires out of alignment, there is a chance they will poke through the plastic, especially if you over-heat. per instructions, be sure NOT to squeeze the lead ring - it will crack, and then not melt to seal properly.... lesson learned... overall, recommend. FAQs

Could I use a small butane or propane torch instead of a heat gun?

Definitely! Just don't get it too close as you will over melt the shielding.

Will SolderStick work with different types of wires?

Absolutely! Whether you're working with copper, aluminum, or a mix of materials, SolderStick connectors are designed to provide a strong, reliable connection across a variety of wire types.

Are these connections weatherproof?

Yes, remember heat both ends of the sleeve and they will seal water tight.

What's the maximum wire size SolderStick can handle?

SolderStick connectors are versatile, accommodating wire sizes up to 10 AWG. For specific projects, refer to our sizing chart to find the perfect fit for your needs.

Can these be used in an engine compartment of a vehicle example (Ford F350 Diesel)?

As long as you keep a reasonable distance from the exhaust components such as pipes, manifolds, turbo then these are an excellent choice as they will keep the joint dry and far less susceptible to corrosion under the hood.

Can SolderStick connectors be used for outdoor projects?

Yes, they're ideal for outdoor use! SolderStick’s waterproof design ensures connections stay protected against the elements, making them perfect for garden lighting, outdoor sound systems, and more.
